Plus Size is a Good Size
How did weight become one of the major concerns in our culture and why is it a struggle for so many? Overeating is how we gain weight, but not the reason. Overweight, as we call it, is the product of:
- First and foremost, a need for emotional protection.
- Ignorance of proper diet.
- Substance abuse, the substance being food.
When you don’t like yourself, it’s easy to gain weight so that you have a good reason not to like yourself. You can just say that you don’t like yourself because you are fat. (By the way, the word fat in some cultures has positive connotations, so it is not an absolute reality that the word implies something negative.) When you say that you don’t like yourself because you are fat, it’s a lie anyway. You are really saying that you don’t like your body, not yourself.
If someone said to you, I don’t like you, now do what I want, what do you think would happen? Would you be willing to do what they wanted? I don’t think so. So why should your body do what you want when you tell it you don’t like it and you will only like it if it does what you say? It’s not going to happen. You can starve your body and lose weight, but you will gain it back when you return to your previous eating habits. You will try diet after diet and the same thing will happen over and over; each attempt becomes more difficult because you have failed so many times before, causing you to lose confidence in yourself. You dislike your body more and more each day until you start hating it. It isn’t your body that is fat, it’s you. Do you want to look a certain way and fit into the ideal to which our society attaches approval, self-esteem, beauty, health and sexiness, instead of being yourself?
We are told that it is excess weight which makes us unhealthy, but it is also the negative feelings we have towards our overweight bodies that create our health problems. We have the power to change the way we think of ourselves and our bodies. Losing weight is not going to make you healthy and happy. Even if you are thin, you must have a positive self image.
Start to love yourself the way you are right now. There is no point in making a bargain with yourself that you will start loving you when you lose weight. Your body will respond if you love it now. Wrap your arms around your body and sincerely tell it you love it and that you are sorry for hating or disliking it. It’s your body; the one in which you are spending your life. Do you want to go through your entire life disliking your body? Your body has been with you from the moment you were born. You loved it then, love it now. How do you think your body feels knowing you don’t like it? Every cell knows how you feel about it and your body wants to be loved and nurtured. You will see the changes when you begin loving it.
Your body will tell you when it is hungry and what it wants to eat. Listen to it. Your body wants food, not chemicals. When you love your body, you’ll eat healthy food and stop eating when you aren’t hungry anymore. You won’t eat to feed your emotions and you will achieve your perfect body size. When you love your body, yourself and your life, you will be happy.
Thinness is the current cultural preference and an obsession in our society, not an ideal based on absolute truth. We have all seen paintings and sculptures from other periods in history, which portray their subjects as well rounded and robust. One day, back when I lived on a little island off the coast of Belize, I stopped to greet a male friend of mine sitting on his verandah looking at a Victoria’s Secret catalogue, that a tourist had left behind.
I see you are enjoying yourself, I said to him assuming he was admiring the scantily clad models. What’s wrong with these women, he replied, they look sick. Those are highly paid models from the States, I explained. They look maga, he continued using the local word for too skinny. That is how women like to look in the US. Not here, we like a woman with meat on her bones.
There exists today on earth, a subconscious plot to keep women weak and malnourished. I call it The Invisible Burka. Our culture has allowed women to become more powerful and have more equality, but it is actually a trick because at the same time they are convinced that this power is achieved by being physically thin and underfed, walking in heels that are damaging to the body and even undergoing unnecessary surgical procedures in order to feel attractive. There is nothing striking about a person who is malnourished, depriving their brain of the nutrients it needs for optimum performance.
Another incident I experienced on the island occurred on say while I was about to enter a restaurant as a very large American woman was exiting. A Belizean woman of similar size stood behind me and said to her, hey fat girl. I held my breath for a moment and the American woman appeared momentarily horrified, until the Belizean woman finished the sentence with, you’re fat like me! In a split second, the American tourist had experienced the best part of her vacation. She came to the Caribbean to learn about the culture and she was getting a first-hand experience which wasn’t in any guide book. Her look of horror melted into a smile of sisterly camaraderie with the local woman who smiled and gave her a high five. It was an event which allowed the tourist to transcend the negative images she had about her weight and be part of a truly magical moment with a woman who accepted herself as she was.
I have always been very careful not to blindly follow the general beliefs of the mainstream current thought forms of my culture. When I observe everyone doing something I am cautious about following in their footsteps. Actually, I am of the opinion that many concepts which we are encouraged to believe as absolute truth are, in reality, ideas that are not only false, but harmful to our well-being. One such area that has overwhelmingly consumed, no pun intended, the entire population is weight. The Weight Loss industry, in 2009, was a $350 billion plus industry. Now, let us stop and think about this. No one who is making money from weight loss products really wants you to lose weight or else how else will they keep making money. Diets do not work for most people, since after the desired weight is reached; the person goes back to their usual eating habits.
Let’s back up a little and define what exactly we mean by overweight. I have been contemplating the term for quite some time now and it seems to me that our culture has created an ideal, as do many other cultures, and that ideal has to do with body size. Now we all know that everyone is physically different, some tall, others short and the rest in between, but we are all being encouraged to weigh a certain amount based primarily on our height. Therefore, we can safely assume that expecting everyone to be the same size and weight is on the current cultural preference, an unattainable goal and doesn’t even make sense. Don’t be duped about weight and the unwarranted negative self image associated with certain body types. Don’t fall for it. The more you focus on excess weight, the more it will stick around.
There’s the old joke about a woman who was considered plump in America and went to Mexico on vacation with a friend of hers that was a model. She noticed that the men mostly looked at her and not her slim friend. One day the model was taking a nap and the woman asked one of the local men who spoke English, you know in my country the men all look at my friend, but things seem different here. The man replied, Sí senorita, the bone is for the dog, the meat is for the man.
For those who are thin by nature, this is a healthy physical state, but for the rest, losing too much weight is usually not in their best physical interest. In order to reduce body mass to a size that is not compatible with the body structure, but is with a young woman on the cover of a magazine, one must eat less food than their body requires. In addition, the type of food that has become associated with weight loss is very often laden with chemicals and has very little fat. The brain needs a certain amount of fat to function properly, so we must.
The word food is used very loosely nowadays. Chemicals are not food and foods that have been processed and have lost most of their nutritional value are of little benefit, if not harmful. Artificial sweeteners are not food and should not be used in or with food…EVER. They are chemicals that upset the alkaline/acid balance of the body and can cause serious health issues and even addiction. In addition, it is said that artificial sweeteners make you crave carbohydrates, so you end up eating more of what will make you gain weight.
The current methods of farming food, coupled with environmental pollution and soil depletion due to single crop farming, fertilization and the seeds being used have robbed our food supply of many nutrients. Because of this we are required to take nutritional supplements to make up for what is not in our diet and should be. For those not supplementing their diet, cravings occur when the body is not getting what it requires to be healthy. Our bodies know what they want, there is no tricking our cells, therefore, even after we have eaten a whole plate of lettuce with only vinegar, we are still hungry. Big surprise!
Our beliefs have been infringed upon and little by little until we are programmed to behave in such a way that will allow someone besides us to profit. What do women eat when they are out in a restaurant, you guessed it, salad. Why is that? Don’t get me wrong, I love salad, and I eat salad when I desire it, but I do not order or prepare it just because I think it looks good and people will think I am thinner because I eat salad all the time.
As a culture we are so focused on thinness that people are divided into two categories, those who are thin and those who are not. I realized this to be true, on a Sunday at the mall when I caught myself in the same trap. I was horrified that this was the mentality of my culture and even more that I had been participating in this belief. I was determined to begin to see others as perfectly where they are supposed to be, which is where they are. As I sat in front of the food court filled with throngs of people, consuming mostly junk food, I began to think about the situation at hand. For the most part it appeared that there were a number of things going on; first and foremost was that it was dinnertime and after a long afternoon of walking the mall and shopping many people had worked up an appetite or perhaps just felt like eating. I walked amongst the tables topped with burgers, pizza and French fries and noticed that there were excessive amounts of food in front of most people, even children. When I say excessive, I am basing it on how much food I personally care to consume at one sitting.
Most people in our culture eat more than they need, this is a fact. The amount of food we require will be communicated to us by our bodies. In other words, when our cells require nourishment, we get hungry. If we eat slowly, chewing and swallowing our food with care, we will know when we have had enough because we will not feel hungry anymore. The old adage of clean your plate is fine if there is not too much food on the plate to start with, but I have a sneaking suspicion that when that saying came into being, there was not the amount of food readily available as there is now or refrigeration to save leftovers. Food had to be prepared; people didn’t just reach into the refrigerator or freezer or go out to a restaurant each time they felt hungry.
The social pressure to be thin and the implications of being overweight, a term applied to a measurement that exceeds a number arrived at by the medical community and/or the fashion industry, has the result of creating low self-esteem and even self-hatred. Beauty is big business and there is a disproportionate amount of focus place on whether or not a person is beautiful. In fact the person can be amongst the worst scoundrels ever to live and if he or she is beautiful, they hold our attention and maintain our admiration. Inner beauty is highly under-valued and outer beauty, even though it can be bought is the measure of a person.
You don’t need to keep weighing yourself. First of all, you must know when you have gained weight if you are aware of your body and, if nothing else, your clothes will feel tighter or looser. Secondly, if you haven’t lost your desired weight, you will most likely get frustrated and eat more. Remember, your weight is not a measure of your self-worth; it is a measure of the weight of your body. You are not better if you weigh less, you only weigh less.
Larger people are kept separate so that thinner ones do not have to shop with them as anyone who wears plus size clothing will tell you. The plus size departments are hidden in basements and corners of areas where no one goes. The clothes are not stylish, for the most part, and sometimes they even cost more, as if an extra two inches of fabric between a size 16 and 1X is going to make a difference in the cost of creating the garment. Why can’t these garments be amongst the regular clothes? Are we to hide people away who are an inch larger that the privileged, acceptable thin ones?
Begin to tell yourself that you Love yourself. Stand in front of the mirror and admire what you see and say the words out loud until you begin to feel the Love. Think of someone in your life that you love, whether it is a romantic love or love of a family member or friend and think of how you feel when you experience love for them. Then start feeling the same way when you look at yourself. As you see your reflection, admiring and loving yourself, realize that there are two of you participating in this process; one is yourself, the you that is in your conscious life and the other one is the person that is talking to you or your higher or real self. The one that you refer to as “I”, when you say I love you to yourself is your higher self. It is that part of you that has always loved you, was born loving you and always will love you no matter what. That part of you doesn’t care about how much you weight, the color of your hair or how many wrinkles you have, because that part of you is eternal and only exists in your body during this lifetime.
A young child that loves an adult does not judge the way that person looks, they just love them and in the same way, your higher self loves you unconditionally; so do not be afraid to tap into that feeling for yourself. Don’t let the standards that society has set for beauty, which are fleeting and change from time to time, keep you from loving yourself and do not allow yourself to be convinced that you are not a beautiful creation of the Universe. When your mother and father first saw you, they could not imagine anyone more beautiful so believe that you are healthy and lovely and that is the reality you will create for yourself. Be the vibrant being that you were born to be.
Abundance – The Law of Attraction
We all know that like attracts like and that we resonate with certain people, place, food, colors and just about everything. It had been pointed out that when the vibrations of two people resonate, they are attracted and when they do not, they repel. This is scientifically accepted and agreed upon by most everyone. What is not known, however, is why we are attracted when we resonate with another person, why is it that we do resonate with them and what is the real reason we come into conjunction with different people and events?
It is very quantum to say that our vibrations resonate; we accept that this is enough of a reason to form relationships with others, basing our belief on the energetic explanation that it is meant to be. We have so much trust in the process of life that we embrace the higher human and even non-human, beings that we encounter in our mystical road to the higher realms. Perhaps we are acting out a carefully planned script in another dimension that determines what happens here or are we characters in a movie that is being written by someone, somewhere else. One may argue that since we have free will, it is our own choices that determine our reality and no one else’s. Could we be characters in a play about free will, a play with no pre-written story that no one knows how it will end until it does? That would be a very AvantGarde endeavor by the producers; imagine others taking pleasure in watching us live out our daily lives.
I am not suggesting that any of the above is necessarily true, but what is the real reason that life happens and the Law of Attraction is part of it? We can observe that the Law is a law and like attracts like, our thoughts attract what we think and our beliefs create our reality, but we do not know why, for what purpose, we only accept it on faith and the belief that since it has happened so many times it is true and can safely be called a Law. We embrace it with passion, knowing that we are capable of thinking and believing in a positive and uplifting way and in return creating the same type of life as a result. The best part of it all is that it works and not just only for us, but for the entire universe.
If like did not attract like and the Law of Attraction was not a reality, nothing would exist. Molecules and atoms would not come together and bond to create matter and consequently LIFE. The Law of Attraction is more than a law; it is the reason for everything. Even what some call The Void is subject to the Law. The Void which some describe as nothingness, is no such thing; if it were so, we could not conceive of it or even think of it. The fact that we call it anything gives it substance and meaning and makes it part of reality, so therefore it cannot be The Void. What is it then, I’ll tell you, since you asked, it is the infinite storehouse of raw material for the Law of Attraction…like the Whole Foods of creation.
So when we search for the reason for the Law of Attraction, it is simple, it is so we can have energy, life, Love and everything else that exists. It is the true magic of life that transforms and transmutes the raw material of life, along with consciousness and infinite intelligence into a concoction that we call reality. Oh the cleverness of it all.
Intuition – Knowing What You Know
We are reluctant to acknowledge the validity of new ideas unless they receive the blessing of science. This, in essence, diminishes our intuitive powers and natural wisdom to having little significance. By doing so, we are declaring ourselves scarcely capable of knowing something unless it has been studied and proven to be true by scientifically trained people. Modern science has only been around for a very short time in the recorded history of mankind, so why is it now the ultimate source of truth for all our ideas and beliefs? How did people survive, some in societies more advanced than our own, without science? Are we so insecure about ourselves that we have turned over all our ability to create wisdom and truth to a small community of people whose job it is to validate our existence? I find Quantum Physics fascinating, so I don’t wish to criticize scientists, but they are not divine. They are using scientific process to prove theories that don’t need proof for anyone who has faith in life and belief in their Higher Self. In all fairness, however, I must praise scientists with the highest regard, for leading the way to the enhancement of our lives through the development and refinement of technology. Without them we would be living in a world of physical struggle. On the other hand, if we had instead relied on our knowing, we might even be much farther along.
It is important to remember that even those things confirmed by science, are only true within the boundaries of their system of scientific method. Suppose there is one person who believes that time is not time; that you can step out of time and not participate. Perhaps one day I am late for work and decide not to look at the clock, but rather measure time the way I want; in other words, slow time down so that I am not late. I get to work on time because I stepped out of time and then back into it. Then is time really time? Does it really function the way we believe it does? Try it some time, its fun.
Dr. Masaru Emoto, author of Hidden Messages in the Water, states that you can look at a cloud and choose to erase it from the sky. If you do, is that cloud still there for someone else? It works, but you must believe you can do it. I like to look at clouds and see the shapes they take, so I am not inclined to try to erase them. If George Lucas can conceive of the powers of the Jedi, then how can they not exist if the thought itself is what creates the reality? Since there are people who have claimed to erase clouds and alter time, then what is REALLY true? Is anything absolutely true or is truth only what a majority of us decide to call reality?
Have we been dying all along because someone, a long time ago, decided to persuade people they had to die as a means of instilling fear in them? What if the reason that Jesus was crucified was because he knew that we do not have to die; that we can walk on water; heal ourselves and one another? Perhaps the only way they could prevent us from finding out our true potential was to put a stop to his message being spread and then claim that his achievements were a result of his divinity rather than his true humanness? If the general population realized they also had the same potential, there would be no way to control them, now would there?
The Jedi learned the path to immortality. If we can conceive of such a thing, then why can’t it be a reality? Are we any more real than the characters in works of fiction? Do they exist in other dimensions, as surely as we do in our beloved Third Dimension? Perhaps there was a time when humans lived at a different vibration, one of peace and harmony. If we can envision it, then it must be possible. What if it still exists and that is what we call a parallel reality? When you look in a wooded area do you see beings? Not with your eyes, but with your senses? Are those beings there now, looking back at you? Is all art the reality of another dimension?
Don’t worry, I’m just trying to encourage you to think outside your box, as they say, and to demonstrate how you can experience reality in a different way; for we know not what else we can achieve if we are willing to dare to dream. We need some REALLY new ideas and beliefs; ideas of the magnitude of the earth being round instead of flat were in their time. Think how happy you would be if you discovered something entirely new. I choose not to set my sights any lower. We live in a world where technology is developing and evolving every second. There are software programmers writing code and hackers breaking those programs, so that the programmers are then faced with creating even more advanced software to fight the hackers and on and on. Each idea is a stepping stone to the next level.
Our belief systems, unlike technology, have barely altered in thousands of years. We call them traditions and think they are so quaint and precious, but our values must also evolve or they become irrelevant to the vibration of the life we are living. This is the reason that significant numbers of people are losing interest in organized religion and why others are having to struggle to hold on to their old ways, even to fight wars over them.
Belief systems extend to all areas of our lives; our choice of life partners, how we treat other people, how we raise children, how we are connected to ourselves and others, our view of our relationship to the universe and our concept of divinity. If you don’t take the time to determine what you truly believe, blindly accepting the conventions of the society in which you live, you will be rendered less powerful and suffer the same fate as the rest of those who semi-consciously pass through life. Living according to your beliefs will make you happy. It’s that simple!
IF I’M SO ENLIGHTENED, WHY AM I WORKING IN A CORPORATE ENVIRONMENT?
This is a question I have asked myself many times and come up with many answers. Shouldn’t I be doing healing work in a serene Wellness Center or offering presentations on personal growth and the Ascension process? Why am I spending my day creating financial reports for corporate forecasting and revenue analysis? Many times I considered seriously pursuing a full time writing career, promoting the books and articles that I love to create. I imagined that I would just get a presentation together and begin lecturing so I could quit my job and enter a career that vibrated at a level more compatible with my own, but then I began to look at my path in life a little more closely.
First of all, my job affords me a very comfortable standard of living. I have been able to buy the books and attend the seminars that have contributed to my spiritual growth. I have been able to set up a lovely web site where I can publish my articles and promote my books, which I had the money to self-publish. So I began to realize that one reason I have this job is so I can do my spiritual work and follow my life’s purpose, without the stress of lack of money attached to it.
Now, back to the job itself, which I truly enjoy; granted there are days when I wake up and would rather stay home and write or sleep a bit longer, but I have fun at work. First of all, my hours are 10am-6:30pm, so I do not encounter traffic on my 30 mile commute in northern New Jersey. I listen to lovely music, either New Age or the soundtracks from Pride and Prejudice, Emma, The Holiday and Miss Potter and the landscape on most of the trip to Parsippany, NJ is lovely. When I arrive I am relaxed and happy. In addition, many of my best ideas for stories and articles come to me while driving, which is why I purchased a Sony voice recorder, with voice recognition, that types my words, with some degree of accuracy, into the computer.
During the day I have the opportunity to speak with many people face to face and on the phone, allowing me to leave them happier than they were before they spoke to me, so in essence I am doing a lot of healing work all day long. I have come to realize that there are many enlightened people working in my corporate environment, many of whom have pleasantly surprised me with inspiring conversations. I have had the opportunity to influence others in different ways as well. Many of the people in my work group have heard me speak of staying positive and have been inspired by my philosophy. They have also become accustomed to my use of natural remedies and have begun following suit, using natural products I have recommended, rather than over the counter chemicals.
I realize that I am doing very important healing work on a daily basis in my current position and I still am able to have time for my beloved writing. Now that wonderful classes such as Metatronic Keys, by Tyberron and Archangel Michael Wisdom Teachings by Ronna Herman, are offering as webinars online, I am able to attend from my home and still be at work on Monday morning. So I have experienced a shift in my original view of why I have a corporate job and now realize that this is a great opportunity to hold light in a place that needs light and in a segment of the population that light workers, such as myself, do not often infiltrate.
My desk at work is a virtual alter. I have crystal grids, a salt lamp, Reiki symbols, in various hidden places, and mandalas on my desktop background. When people step into my cube they always comment on how good the energy feels. This same energy is being sent out into the building and also remotely to those I speak to on the phone each day, transmitting the Fifth Dimensional energy upon which my life is focused to those who may never have access to it. Pretty cool!
There is one more aspect of my job as a Software Analyst that had become apparent to me and that is that it keeps me grounded. I have a tendency to get into the higher realms and stay there, which I certainly cannot do when I am creating calculations for Sales Volume and units sold. So it is a great balance, Ascending into the 5th Dimension and being grounded by my corporate job. To a person like me, who sees the humor in life whenever possible is it a fertile environment for laughter, happiness, brain stimulation and opportunities to heal people each day. I think I am very fortunate and grateful for my life and even if it turns out someday that one of my books is a best seller and I do not work in a corporate environment, I am really glad I do now and I am thankful for the opportunity.

Now available!!!
Our purpose in life is to be happy. That’s why we are here. We spend much of our lives pursuing what we believe will make us happy, but what we fail to realize is that happiness is a feeling and just thinking about what makes you happy will give you that feeling. You don’t need any thing to make you feel happy, you only need the thought and you will experience the happiness.

Good Grief
Many of us will experience some form of grief in our lives, due to loss, but it is helpful to remember that grieving is a process, not a permanent condition. Grief is the energetic and emotional withdrawal that occurs in our being when the vibration and resonance of a person who is no longer here, is removed from our Third Dimensional reality. Particularly when we have experienced the presence of a person, such as our parents, in our lives for many years and then they depart, we go through major energy shifts during the process of permanent Third Dimensional separation. This process is a rather universal one, although in other cultures grief is approached differently. In some societies, after a person dies there is dancing, storytelling, card playing and music. The night of partying is designed to drive away the grief and, for that night at least, it works. In our culture, however, we tend to hold on to our feelings, many times in an attempt to hold on to the person.
Let us try to understand how we are able to approach grief and move gracefully through the process. I lost both my parent within six months of one another. My father passed away suddenly in July 2008. The shock of losing him, my closest and dearest friend, was tremendous. With whom would I exchange new ideas and talk about the books that we both read? Who would think so highly of me and praise my accomplishments? My father was a true gentleman and one of the wisest human being I have ever known. He lived his life graciously and left while he could still live it so. His eighty-six years here were filled with wonder, stimulating his curiosity and driving him to pursue new frontiers and unknown realms of consciousness. He taught me his standard of decency, respect for one’s self and others and most importantly not to ever go below that standard. My father was always there for me and loved me unconditionally, even when it seemed as though I was not entirely there for myself. The joy I have is that I was able to contribute so much to the last years of his life. Quite often he told me that I changed his life and opened new doors for him, even when he was eighty years old. His mind was young and he never ceased to think about possibilities, expressing wisdom that superseded that of most people I have ever known or read about. What a joy to know someone with whom I could share such mutual high regard. It was a gift and a magical experience in my life.
The most delightful moments were when I brought him a new book and watched him immediately open it and start reading a few lines just to get a tidbit of what might be inside. When his eyesight began to decline, I bought him a full spectrum lamp and once again he was able to read his precious books, the window to the exciting frontier just ahead. I truly loved my father and if my life were only to have known him, I would say it was blessed. He was my light and my anchor, my father, Martin William Zellea, 1922-2008.
My mother did not leave this world as suddenly, but by early January 2009 she was gone. Even though it became apparent that she would pass close to the New Year, when it actually happened, it was as if I had never known at all. My mother and I became very spiritually connected towards the end of her life. On a few occasions, while she had been confined to a bed, I told her about everyday events that I had experienced and she discussed them as if she had been there. I became aware that on some level she had been there and was already beginning to experience her ability to be somewhere outside of her body on a non-physical level. She knew when I sent her Distance Reiki, pinpointing the exact time. My mother influenced many lives and more than one person expressed to me that they probably would not be here today if it were not for her.
About a year before she passed, she told me quite casually during lunch, that throughout my life she always believed in me. I know that her love was the blessing and grace that protected me and kept me returning to the right path throughout my life, even when it seemed as though I had lost my way. She never lost her sense of humor and passed that trait on to me. She was my teacher, my mother, Selma Baratta 1926-2009.
The emotions that remained after she left were conflicting and had to be sorted out. I missed her, but I was happy she was no longer suffering. I spent many hours in the hospital and gave her Reiki each time I visited her, placing my hands on her legs while I sat beside her bed. I wanted to do everything possible to make her as comfortable as possible, but afterwards I was thankful I didn’t have to go there anymore be in that depressing environment. I did not allow myself to feel guilty for feeling that way and I accepted that these emotions were not a measure of how much Love I had for my mother, but how much Love I have for myself. My honesty about my sentiments made it easier for me to experience the grieving process.
During the three days after she passed, I was distracted from my emotions while I created a photo slide show DVD for her memorial service, but after the funeral I was confronted with the process that lie before me. My Mother’s death fell even heavier on top of the loss of my father which was still in its own process. I began to feel drained; my usual happy, joyful self was gone. One night as I sat at home, I thought to myself, I do not want to feel like this anymore and I know my Mother and Father would not want me to despair. I made the decision to evaluate the grieving process and by doing so I began to see the process of dying in a completely different light.
First of all, let me say that I am not completely convinced that we are meant to die. It is an almost universal belief that we are, but I often wonder if ages ago, when humanity descended to a certain vibrational level, physical death became part of the Third Dimensional cycle of life. At that point we, as humans, forgot that, when we existed at a higher vibration, we only transformed and ascended, taking our physical form with us. However, since we are working in the framework of physical life and death, I will only venture to say that once the dying process begins, on some levels our energy has already transformed and the rest of us wishes to follow so that we can be whole again. As our Life Force Energy is transferred to its next destination, we become less alive in the Third Dimension. Some people leave suddenly and others take longer, but it is all by design, because, after all, we live in a perfect universe. Therefore, it is a futile exercise for those of us who are still here to wonder what could have been done differently or how a life could have been extended.
When it is time for us to leave this earth, we do, and whatever circumstances are necessary to achieve this departure will be created by our subconscious and our Higher Self. How we leave can be likened to how some people enter the ocean to swim; some run and jump in and some wade in, gradually getting used the water. It is presumed that when a person dies suddenly that it was the physical condition that was responsible, but I believe we have it backwards. The person leaves the body first and then the body, which cannot continue without the Life Force Energy of the person, expires. Similarly, a long term illness is the result of the body reacting to the person’s essence slowly leaving the physical form. When one is ill and it is not time for them to go, the life force energy returns and the person recovers; if it is time to leave this incarnation, there is no physical recovery.
Leaving a Third Dimensional lifetime is not much different than the way we enter the world when you think about it; some births are easy and some very difficult. It is helpful to remember, while experiencing the grieving process, that the Universe is perfectly on time, including the moments that we enter and exit each lifetime. No one leaves before they are meant to; therefore we should not look upon it as something unnatural or untimely. When we truly believe this then, yes, of course we will miss the person, but we will not look upon their leaving as a tragedy or Cosmic mistake. The Universe doesn’t make them.
In addition, beings do not die; they complete incarnations and move on. This is not just an exercise in semantics, nothing truly dies, because everything is made up of energy which cannot be destroyed, only transformed and transmuted into something else. Those we love are always with us and not just in our memories, but in reality, just not the Third Dimensional reality. We are currently in the process of evolving into the Fifth Dimension and beyond, so now it is time to take another view of the processes of life. After all, our belief systems are centuries and ages old, it’s time for a change. Some will die and others may ascend or pass into another reality with bodies intact. Some day dying may even be a very unusual occurrence.
In our modern day lives, many of us are physically located away from extended families and communities in which births and deaths are experienced firsthand on a regular basis. Because of this, we are not accustomed to death as a part of the cycle of life. Death is not a tragedy, but an occasion to celebrate the life of a person and revere the process of the transition. We shall miss them, sometimes terribly, but on the other hand we can remember the time we had with them and that in other dimensions, perhaps we are still together. Remember the Love you shared with those that have gone, the Love that is real and the Love that endures, eternally.
The weekend after my mother passed my Reiki teacher e-mailed me to let me know that she had taught a Reiki II class which included sending Distance Reiki. She asked her students to send Reiki to my situation and afterwards she wrote the following:
What I saw for you was how much you are at peace…not upset…a calmness from within. I saw your Mom and Dad “playing” around you….they get along very well on the other side…very playful and very much right around you. Your Father is on your right and your Mom on your left. When I sent Reiki to your spiritual body, it was beautiful. I saw your beautiful spirit…glowing and very full. Two weeks later I took an astrology class and when the teacher read my chart she mentioned that my mother left at a very auspicious time.
I found this very comforting and also quite interesting, because during the last days of my mother’s life she told me that she kept thinking about my father, even though they had been separated for over fifty years. My father once told me, a man always loves his first wife. I began to realize that when we are connected with someone on one level and even if we do not spend our entire life with them, the connection always remains, many times just as strong, if not stronger. Amongst my father’s possessions was a small glass bird. Amongst my mother’s possessions also was a small glass bird. Both birds now reside on a table in front of my balcony window looking out over the horizon.
Currently I view death very differently than I once did. Why should it bring such sorrow? Why should we make part of someone’s life sad or tragic? We are joyous when someone is born, but why so unhappy when something that we believe to be inevitable, and even natural, occurs? If it were true that after we die it is the end, then it would be very sad, but that is not the case. We are eternal beings, souls living a human experience, who continue on to whatever lies beyond the human adventure. When we are sadly mourning someone, we are trying to hold on to that person, we are reacting to the withdrawal of their energy from ours. In addition, we act the way we believe we should act, we know no other way.
No matter how long someone is here on earth, it is according to plan. They are here for as long as they are meant to be here and we need not be sad, but rather look back on what that person accomplished in their life or how others were affected by that person’s existence, no matter how long it lasted. By mourning a person we are only recognizing the Third Dimensional part of their life and our own for that matter. That person is not gone, they are just not here. Perhaps we are sad when faced with death because we know that we are really meant to ascend and that dying is a mistake we have been repeating for centuries, lifetime after lifetime. On the other hand, if a person’s death is truly the successful conclusion of a contract, which they agreed to prior to being born, then it should be a satisfying event, something like a perfectly completed project. Our views are outdated, part of an antiquated belief system; therefore I am confident that our ideas of how our Third Dimensional incarnation should end or evolve, must and will change.
Weight – It Can Make You Happy
I have always been very careful not to blindly accept the general beliefs of the mainstream current thought forms of my I have always been very careful not to blindly accept the general beliefs of the mainstream current thought forms of my culture. Diets do not work for most people, since after the desired weight is reached, the person usually returns to their former eating habits and, over time, the excess weight returns.
Therefore, we can safely assume that expecting everyone to be the same size and weight is an unattainable goal and doesn’t even make sense. Don’t be duped about weight and the unwarranted negative self image associated with certain body types. Don’t fall for it. The more you focus on excess weight, the more it will stick around.
The first step in the process of creating an overweight customer base is to identify what will be considered perfect or ideal. This is simple since our society admires movie stars and models as the standard of beauty. Of course in other cultures the standard may be different; therefore it is not absolutely true that our standard of beauty is anything more than the current cultural preference.
When I lived in Belize, I noticed that there were very few women who were thin by American standards and if they did get too thin, they were considered unhealthy. There might be some value to this way of thinking. For those who are thin by nature, this is a healthy physical state, but for the rest, losing too much weight is usually not in their best physical interest. In order to reduce body mass to a size that is not compatible with the body structure, but is with a young woman on the cover of Cosmo, one must eat less food than their body requires. In addition, the type of food that has become associated with weight loss is very often laden with chemicals and has very little fat. The brain needs a certain amount of fat to function properly, so is the idea that thinner is better a subconscious cultural plot to keep women weak?
The word food is used very loosely nowadays. Chemicals are not food and foods that have been processed and have lost most of their nutritional value are of little benefit, if not harmful. Artificial sweeteners are not food and should not be used in or with food…EVER. They are chemicals that upset the alkaline/acid balance of the body and can cause serious health issues and even addiction. I was once told by a substance abuse counselor that I met on vacation that the most difficult a substance addition to treat was that of Diet Coke. The combination of the ingredients and carbonation is a toxic, refreshing beverage with absolutely no nutritional value. In addition, artificial sweeteners make you crave carbohydrates, so you end up eating more of what will make you gain weight.
I realized this to be so one Sunday at the mall when I caught myself in the same trap.
The old adage of clean your plate is fine if there is not too much food on the plate to start with, but I have a sneaking suspicion that when that saying came into being, there was not the amount of food readily available as there is now. First of all, there was a time when food had to be prepared; people didn’t just reach into the refrigerator or freezer or go out to a restaurant each time they felt hungry.
As a culture we eat a lot of processed food. When I lived in Belize the local residents were proud that they ate only fresh food that was prepared daily. Most ingredients were local and had not lost as much of their nutrients over time as a result of being stored or transported. Many of us have busy lifestyles in the United States, leaving us little time to prepare meals each day from scratch, but there is Love in home cooked meals, an ingredient that you will not find in prepared or processed food. Life force energy gets transferred into the meal providing us with vitality that we will never get from a fast food restaurant or a frozen dinner. Over time our bodies and health will reflect what we have chosen to eat.
Okay, so we have determined that eating too much of the wrong food is enough to account for the inability to remain at an optimal body weight, but there is more.
If you do not like your body the way it is now, then you will never like it no matter what size you are. So in order to achieve your perfect body weight, the first thing you must do is start liking yourself right now, just the way you are. Begin to tell yourself that you Love yourself. Stand in front of the mirror and admire what you see and say the words out loud until you begin to feel the Love. Think of someone in your life that you love, whether it is a romantic love or love of a family member or friend and think of how you feel when you feel love for them.
That part of you doesn’t care how much you weight, the color of your hair or how many wrinkles you have, because that part of you is eternal and only exists in your body during this lifetime.
A young child that loves an adult does not judge the way that person looks, they just love them and in the same way, your higher self loves you unconditionally; so do not be afraid to tap into that feeling for yourself. Don’t let the standards that society has set for beauty, which are fleeting and change from time to time, keep you from loving yourself. Do not allow yourself to be convinced that you are not a beautiful creation of the Universe. When your mother and father first saw you, they could not imagine anyone more beautiful so believe that you are healthy and lovely and that is the reality you will create for yourself. Be the vibrant being that you were born to be.
From ” LIFE IS GOOD, ALL IS WELL ~ Everything is Vibration” by Wendy Ann Zellea
The Garden of Eden
There is a world where life is good and all is well and it is right here on earth. It exists beyond a thin, transparent veil of conscious perception that, in spite of its fragility, has power greater than a thick lead wall to those who live within it. We, who reside outside the veil, walk amongst you and appear to be quite ordinary at times and at others very unusual. Most of you do not know that we’re different, but we recognize one another through our feelings and vibrations. We live in the everyday world, but ours is a magical land of beauty, synchronicity, pleasant surprises and friendly folk. We exist on many different economic and social levels, but what we do have in common is that in our world, life is good and all is well.
I’m not speaking of a fantasy place on another planet or in a different time; I’m talking of right here and right now. We live in a wonderful rapidly evolving world, full of fascinating people and places, but we must drop the veil of illusion which we have grown to accept and learn to see life as it really is. Do you think that in an infinite and abundant universe, inhabited by enlightened, intelligent beings, a beautiful place such as the Earth would be created so that humans could suffer? Of course not, we have fashioned our world and taken a few wrong turns, but the time has come for us, as luminous life forms, to get back on the journey we came here to experience.
Life is good and all is well; but only if you believe that to be so. I not only believe it, I know it and the reason I know it beyond a shadow of a doubt is because I live it and see it daily. I feel as though I am the luckiest person alive. Do you feel that way?
I exist with the purpose of lifting the vibration of others, by lifting my own. I am a light bringer, one of many, downloading an increased influx of higher vibrating energies into our world. Even in the most dismal times in my life, I always believed that everything would work out and it did. Today I know everything occurs seamlessly and each part of my life is just the way I would like it. Of course there is always room for improvement, always another book to write and continued personal growth, but now it is without struggle. I find there are few others who feel the way I do, but I have learned to maintain my state of mind or shall we call it vibration, in spite of my surroundings. So while people are bemoaning the economy, health issues, relationship problems and emotional upheaval, I am sailing on by in my world of happiness and peace. It might sound selfish to some, but the reality I have chosen does not include participating in the negativity of those around me and the culture in which I live.
We are all connected to everything in the Universe and beyond, so when one raises one’s vibration as much as possible, the vibration of everything else is lifted as a result. I exist with the purpose of lifting the vibration of others, by lifting my own. I have opted to participate in the formation of a new civilization where life is good and all is well. Anyone may join, but as in any culture, they must abide by the rules, with include keeping their thoughts and words positive, thereby keeping the vibration high. This is extremely important as we transition to the higher realms where thoughts may manifested very quickly, if not immediately, therefore, we must become impeccable both in our thoughts and our actions.
What do I mean by positive you may ask? I would have to answer, all that vibrates above the life-sustaining level, 200 on the Hawkins scale, and preferably above the 500 level of Love. Everything else we need not discuss or consider, for in doing so we are participating in that vibration. Instead we have faith, trust, knowing and flow and with that we invite into our reality, all that we require and desire. It is so simple that is the most overlooked essential part of our existence here on earth.
Life occurs seamlessly because we have an infinite supply of impeccable guidance available to us in the form of our intuition, perception and feelings. When we become aware by using our perception and then follow up by listening to our feelings, everything is as it should be and when we do not, we learn lessons. There is a channeled source of guidance available to each of us, a divine flow of energy from our higher selves and beyond, intended to help us through life’s situations which contain too many parameters for our rational minds to comprehend and piece together. Once you learn to take notice of this guidance and then go a step further and begin to listen to it, you will become aware that any resistance you might be experiencing will melt away and you will know what is appropriate for your life and your being.
When I refer to being, I am referring to the multi-dimensional self, the combination of all aspects of our existence; including physical, emotional, etheric and spiritual bodies as well as all the other aspects of us that are outside the scope of our rational understanding, both here on earth and on other planets, solar systems and dimensions. Dimensions can be large and expansive and stretch out to the far reaches of the universe and they may exist in realms that are smaller than our human mind can comprehend. I am not conscious of every lifetime I have lived, perhaps there have been hundreds, nor am I aware of every aspect of my multi-dimensional existence at the moment, but I have become aware of many things along the way. This knowing comes to me as I place my focus inward towards the essence of my being, allowing my higher conscious to expand. Answers to everyday questions, important life decisions and changes to belief systems are downloaded into my brain as they become necessary. It is so convenient.
Conscious Human Evolution, a process that involves re-evaluating beliefs on a continuous basis, is my primary goal in life. For example, occasionally I feel as though money might be tight, so rather than pinch pennies in such cases, I make a point of buying something that will enhance my life. It is important is not to become entangled in the mentality of scarcity. When it was announced we would no longer be getting a 401K match from the real estate company where I worked, I bought a beautiful pair of boots at Lord and Taylor the very same night. The thought in my mind as I left work that day wasn’t, what will I ever do if they are not matching my 401K, rather I followed what my heart when it told me to go spend some money. As a result, I find that all I require comes to me on a regular basis as I maintain the standard at which I choose to live.

Do Something Different
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. – Albert Einstein
If we desire different results, we must do something different. This implies that we are creating outcomes by what we do, and what we do is driven by what we think and believe. Assuming we do create our own reality, it follows that if we remain unchanged our reality will remain the same, but this is not the case. The world around us changes constantly, therefore if we continue to do the same thing over and over and think similar thoughts, never changing them, we are not really remaining the same, but rather we are refusing to accept change and by doing so are creating difficulty and resistance in our lives.
It is very modern and sounds extremely quantum to presume that we create our own reality, but how does it work that we impress our thoughts on the formless substance from which reality is created? The truth is that we are not creating anything, everything already exists. Energy brings forth vibration, the type of which depends on the frequency of the vibration. When we choose our thoughts and beliefs as the basis of our actions we are determining with which instance of vibration and energy we will resonate. There exists in the universe, infinite vibrations producing an unending amount of energy; therefore anything can happen and the possible combinations of thoughts, choices and actions of every living creature that has ever existed, or will exist, on every part of the planet, solar system, universe and all the dimensions outside of our own, make the number of realities that might exist beyond rational comprehension.
Yes, we are influenced by everything, even though we are not aware of every aspect of our multidimensional reality. We have no idea what our 7th dimensional self is doing at the moment or how our 5th dimensional self is feeling. We cannot see rays of energy passing though our environment and our bodies and we do not always know of other beings that are sending us love and light from other star systems. What we can do is increase our awareness about what we think, believe and do, thereby striving to raise the vibration of our own energy and existence here on earth and in the universe. Each one of our cells contains the blueprint of our being and they return to us what we give to them, since they are us. Our little cells live each day, as do we, and are influenced by us, just as we are by our environment so we must take care of the messages we send because what they create will come back to us. What you give is what you get, what goes around comes around; the love you take is equal to the love you make. It’s all up to you to determine the reality in which you live your life.
Do you believe:
- You are healthy and vibrant.
- Life is grand.
- We are all connected.
- Conscious human evolution is your highest priority.
- You are perfect.
- You are loved.
- You are an essential part of a whole.
- You live in an abundant universe.
- You are beautiful.
Life is meant to be wonderfully fantastic beyond our wildest expectations, but we must do something different to achieve this happy state if we are to rise to a higher consciousness. Each of us is required to determine what changes are necessary in our unique, particular lives to bring us to heaven on earth. Start small, make tiny changes and begin to see the results, for many small changes add up to larger ones and new and exciting realities. Remember, you are safe and you are loved.

Why Worry?
Worrying is a complete waste of time. If you worry about something and it works out, you worried for nothing. If you worry about something and it doesn’t work out, you have only made the situation worse by worrying and placing your focus on a result you don’t want, thereby helping to create it. When you allow events to unfold, envisioning the best outcome, you are using your energy and thoughts to create the results you desire. Worrying wastes huge amounts of energy. When you are happy, you have faith that things will turn out well and that the universe will provide solutions. When things continually work out for the best, you will see the magic of life. You will become accustomed to allowing this to happen and you will be happy.
When I moved to New Jersey from Canada in 2000, it was very difficult to find an apartment, but I knew I would find a suitable place to rent. One day, a friend of mine, who did not share my faithful attitude, said to me, “You’re never going to find a place in your price range. It’s impossible.” “Would you just try and be a little more positive?” was my reply.
The next day, out of frustration, I opened the phone book and looked up apartments in the yellow pages. I called the first management company in the list and asked if they had any vacancies. They told me they had a one bedroom unit that I could see any time. I drove there on my lunch hour to have a look and as I pulled up the shady, tree lined street where the garden apartment complex lay nestled, I knew this would be my new home. I was shown the freshly painted apartment with newly refinished wood floors and three windows in the living room overlooking a courtyard filled with trees. I loved it. It was perfect. I told the apartment manager I would take it, but he explained that another woman had just seen the place and she also wanted it. I asked him if I should fill out an application anyway, and he said yes.
I only had a glimmer of hope to get the apartment, but it seems that’s all that was required. At eleven o’clock the next morning I got a call from the management company stating that the other person hadn’t faxed her application and they were inquiring if I still wanted the apartment. I told them I did and that I would be there in an hour with the money. It was Friday and I had just deposited my paycheck, but I knew it wouldn’t clear until Monday. The management company assured me they wouldn’t deposit my rent check until Monday. I signed the rental agreement, got the key, went up to my new home, lay down on the bare floor and breathed a sigh of triumph. I was so elated I didn’t even care that I only had $20 left to my name and a temporary job. I knew it would all work out and you know what, it did.
How do you stop worrying? First you must have that intention and then realize you are in control of your thoughts. You don’t have to worry about anything. Worrying is a habit you learned. You didn’t worry as a child. Why should anything go wrong? Life is not supposed to be full of things going wrong. Almost every day I hear people say, “It’s always something!”
No it’s not! It’s not always something. Stop yourself from thinking that and saying that. If you believe it is always something, it will be. If you believe that things go smoothly, then they will. Consider nature, everything is perfect in the natural world and we are part of that world, so why should we experience mishap after mishap? When you say that it’s always something, you are not allowing yourself to believe that things can go well. You are in opposition to the natural flow of life. So go with the flow and watch life unfold perfectly, the way it’s meant to, and when you hear someone say, “It’s always something,” tell that person “No, it’s not.”
